Upholstery and curtain fabrics for interior projects in Cairo

Cairo is dry almost all year, with hot summers, mild winters and dust that settles on every surface within days. The light is strong and slightly hazy. Interiors are rarely sealed the way Gulf interiors are, so fabrics see open windows, ceiling fans and city dust more than they see air conditioning. Tight weaves that shake out dust, colours that survive sun on a balcony, and fabrics that clean without shrinking come first.

The projects stretch across a huge city: apartments in Zamalek, Garden City and Heliopolis, villas and compounds in New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed, hotels along the Nile, offices and ministries in the New Administrative Capital. Egypt has its own upholstery workshops and a long textile tradition, and many studios combine local making with imported fabrics for the visible surfaces.

Fabric Library, Al Guthmi, Pierre Frey and Ultrafabrics are the four mills at launch. Cuttings from the Gulf and from Europe reach Cairo by courier; customs can add time, so studios request samples early. Colour is confirmed on a physical sample in the actual room before an order.

WEAVRA searches these collections by measured colour, material, wear and use, keeps the fabrics that hold in one selection, and prints an A4 presentation under the WEAVRA name. Specifications come from the mill; the order and the price stay between the studio and the mill.
