Geneva lies between a lake and the mountains, with cold clear winters, warm summers and a light that changes with the weather on the water. Apartments in Eaux-Vives and Champel, villas in Cologny and along the lake, chalets a short drive into the Alps: each has its own season, and fabrics move from thick wool and heavy curtains in the mountains to lighter linens and cottons by the water.
Studios work for private banks and family offices, for watchmakers and international organisations, for hotels on the quays and for residences that expect the finish of a good tailor. Precision is the local standard: composition, width, Martindale and light fastness are read before the colour is discussed, and a fabric is rarely ordered without a physical sample in hand.
Fabric Library, Al Guthmi, Pierre Frey and Ultrafabrics are the four mills at launch. A cutting from a Paris, Lyon or Milan showroom arrives within days; samples from the Gulf mills travel by courier and take longer. Colour is confirmed on a physical sample in the room before an order.
WEAVRA searches these collections by measured colour, material, wear and use, keeps the fabrics that hold in one selection, and prints an A4 presentation under the WEAVRA name. Specifications come from the mill; the order and the price stay between the studio and the mill.
